????????????????????  He didn't give me a title!!

Vegeta struggled to raise his power level higher and higher.  The hum of the gravity machine struggling at 400 g's even after Dr. Briefs tuned it up after it destroyed could be heard in the background.  Yet Vegeta was slowly charging up his energy into his fist.  It began to glow until he had formed a glowing, pulsating ball of energy.  Then he threw it.  It started flying around the room, faster and faster until it was just a blur to any observers.

Vegeta had predetermined it's path so he avoided it.  Yet again he began to charge his energy, he pulled his arms back and you could see the struggle for power on his face.  As veins started popping out of his forehead his voice rumbled… FINAL FLASH!!!!!!!  A great bar of blue fire shot out of his hands, it shot away and began to travel around the room the same way as the previous ball had.  Finally Vegeta stopped the beam, turned around, put his hands at his sides and sidestepped.  He was quickly hit by both blasts which impacted on him in a blast of blue smoke.

As the smoke cleared Vegeta was lying on the ground with his clothes burned off and his chest blackened by burns, yet he was quietly snickering to himself about how powerful he would be.  His body may have been finished but his spirit wasn't.  He started to think about Kakarott, how he was a better fighter, how he had a family, and how he discovered the Saiyan races' secret of the Super Saiyan form.  Lying there collapsed Vegeta started to think about how he had lost all his family due to his weakness, how he never got a chance to have any power, how he never got to be loved because he was taken away from his father as a toddler.  With this that Kakarott, a 3rd class warrior had discovered the secret first made something snap in him.  With strength previously unknown to him he burst to his feet and started to raise his power level.  His pure rage was becoming matter as all the anger of his jealously was being transferred into the ever
growing aura surrounding him.  He flashed back to his first time on earth, being punched across the face, slammed into a cliff, and having his most powerful attack beaten.  Freeza's most elite warrior being defeated by a 3rd class warrior of impure blood who had defeated him!

A scream started in the back of his throat as his arms show forward.  The scream grew louder and louder until his arms shot to his sides as the scream climaxed.  He was surrounded in an explosion of pure golden power, his aura pulsed with his anger as it was growing ever larger.  He was a god in this form, he had never felt power like this before, he was unstoppable.

Bulma rolled out from under Yamcha's new hover-craft.  The nerve of the man to ask her to fix it for him while he was out doing business!  He was probably out with some young teenager asking for a good time while she was at home fixing his ship!  She wiped her hands on a rag and stalked into the kitchen.  She could hear a faint sound that almost sounded like a scream as
she was walking but she paid it no heed, it was probably just Vegeta training.  She opened the refrigerator and looked for something to eat, she found a box of baking soda and an open can of soda.  She cursed Vegeta to herself and than went back down the hallway.  She went into one of the more remote rooms of Capsule Corporation and went into the hidden refrigerator that she had recently purchased and stocked that was unknown to Saiyan appetites.  She fixed herself a small sandwich and took a can of soda and walked back to the kitchen.  She sat down to eat pondering what to do with her life.

Yamcha had been an ass lately, he was probably just bored with her again and wanted to have some fun, than he would come crawling back soon enough and the process would just repeat.  From when she was a young girl she had always thought she was pretty and desireable.  Yet the only real relationship she had ever had was with Yamcha and he treated her like she was his toy that he could use whenever he felt like it and ignore it when he didn't want it.  She finally resolved to give him a taste of his own medicine, she would wear her sexiest, most alluring dress, go out into town, and spend the night with some random guy who she would meet.

Vegeta barely exited the gravity room, he was still hurting from his injuries but his power had soared so high that he could still function somewhat normally.  He struggled into the house and finally just collapsed. Bulma was walking out of Capsule Corporation to have her night on the town, she was dressed in a long flowing dress with a low cut top, it was her favorite and most alluring dress.  When she walked into the kitchen she saw a bruised and battered Vegeta laying unconscious on the floor.  She quickly pulled a capsule out of her pocket and after the smoke cleared she had a small hovercraft.  She struggled to put Vegeta on and finally succeeded.  She
drove it to her lab where she put Vegeta on a cot and ran to get her medical supplies.  She stopped the bleeding from the burn and sealed it.  She also gave Vegeta some morphine, just enough to knock a normal human out for about 2 weeks, so with a Saiyan it would probably keep him under for about a day.

After checking his vital signs she sighed in relief that he was going to live.  In seeing him lying helpless she started to see him in a different manner.  He looked almost serene in his sleep.  The lines of his face were gentle in a rough sort of way and she could see the hard muscles of his body as he lay.  She started to run her hand through his rough hair and she soon found herself resting her head on his shoulder and the next thing that happened was that she fell asleep.

Vegeta woke with a shudder, he had no idea where he was and why he was there.  Yet he felt a ki right by him out of instinct.  His eyes flashed over and he saw that blue haired human who would not leave him alone asleep on his shoulder.  He was about to push her off and go back to training when he looked closer at her.  He did not see her as the annoying blue haired girl
this time, this was the first time that he had actually looked at a girl in a long time.  Her hair was split down the middle and beneath it he could see the soft lines of her face, there was a faint trace of a smile across her lips.  Her skin looked so soft that he couldn't resist it when he started to move his finger across her cheek.  He looked down and saw the ample roundness of her cleavage, another thing he hadn't noticed in a long time.  She had a great body and had Vegeta been back on his home planet he could have had her do anything he wanted.  Yet for some reason he just did not feel right in thinking about her like that.

Soon he took control of himself though and lifted her head from his shoulder and placed it on the bed, he looked into her closed eyes and felt a yearning inside him to stay, but he had to go train.  In being a Saiyan he had almost fully healed from his injuries and he went back to the gravity room to train after searching the refrigerator for something to eat and
coming up empty.

Bulma later woke up by herself and was saddened.  She could not explain the way she felt, it was Vegeta, the self-centered bastard who ate her food, and yelled at her, and slept at her house, and overall treated every attempt at hospitality toward him like an attack towards him.  Yet she could not forget about how he looked last night, and she realized how he was.  After all this time it finally came into perspective for her.  He was not meant to be brought back with the Dragonballs, he should have died with Freeza.  Yet he was brought to earth, the last surviving member of a species except for Goku who had no memory of Vegeta's people.  He was an alien on a planet full of strangers, he did not belong, he could not feel accepted.  He was all
alone with nobody at all.

After the training session Vegeta walked into the kitchen to see if that annoying girl had gotten any food.  He saw her sitting at the table.

"Do you have anything to eat in this goddam house?" He said.

"No, we don't, why don't you get it for yourself" She responded.

Their conversations mainly consisted of this, with nothing more than insults being exchanged.

"I'm your guest, treat me with some damn respect."

"Fine, once you show a little respect for the hospitality we're giving you."

At this point they were just saying this to defend themselves.

"I don't need to show any respect, I don't need your help."

"Yes you do Vegeta, you have made it obvious, stop playing this."

    "Stop playing what?"

"I understand your loss, I'm sorry"

"You understand shit you sad excuse for a creature, you never lost your entire people, you never got enslaved against your will, you never got brainwashed, you never got killed by the one person that you respected, and you never had your dream crushed beyond all recognition.  So just shut up and leave me alone"

"Vegeta, I have had my dream crushed, I always wanted somebody, look what I have, I am sitting here fighting with the only company I have, Yamcha only uses me, my parents are never home, everyone else is training, you're the only company I have."

"Had…"  said Vegeta as he stalked out of the room to go back to training.

Bulma stayed at the table and she started to cry.  She was all alone, she had just been kidding herself about feeling bad for Vegeta.  It wasn't just Vegeta, she felt bad herself, what had happened to her.

Vegeta stalked back to the gravity room but he thought on the way.  Despite being an inferior race the girl was right, she was right about him, that was how he felt, but how could he admit it and show weakness in front of her.  He dismissed the idea as he got to the gravity room, put it up all the way and began training.

Bulma couldn't shake her depression over her life, late that night she had stumbled onto the balcony and just stood there looking at the stars, looking at her lost dreams.  She stood there crying for a long time.

Vegeta finally finished his training for the night and went to go to bed, as he was walking inside he looked up and saw the girl standing on the balcony. She was crying.  Yet he felt the same, he wanted to cry.  Yet Freeza had taught him to ignore his emotions, to be an efficient killing machine and he had not cried since he was a baby.  He had little emotion left besides anger and jealousy, at least he wanted to think so, but he knew the real answer, he knew why he was going to do what he was planning.

He flew up over the house and landed silently behind her.  He gently walked up to her, put his face close to her ear.  He had not felt this way ever, he could not explain it, he was alone, he wanted someone, and he would have to give up his only solace to get it, his pride.

    "I'm sorry Bulma"

Bulma slowly raised her head, he had called her by name, and this is the first time she could recall him not being totally self-centered.  Instead of answering him she just put her arms around him, and put her head on his shoulder and cried onto him.

Vegeta felt tears welling up in his eyes and when she embraced him he just did what felt right to him, he put his arms around her and pulled her close.

After what seemed like an endless eternity yet not long enough to both of them, their hold loosened and they looked into each other's eyes.  They stared, Bulma into his deep black Saiyan eyes and him into her light blue eyes.  They stood there and finally Vegeta leaned in and kissed her.  She was totally overwhelmed by emotion right than that she just wanted to the moment
to last for ever but she managed to kiss back if not by anything but instinct.

Vegeta's nights were no longer lonely, he finally had someone with whom he could share his thoughts, he was not the lone wolf he thought he was.  Bulma had known that this man had a sensitive side.  He was abused for his entire life and had just established blocks over all his emotion, yet she had brought him to love.  She had finally found somebody and they both were
no longer alone.
