Rules for Submitting Fanfics

Please remember that the only rule that you truly MUST follow is that you don't send me fics that have been copied and pasted onto your email.  Please send it as an attachment, don't simply write it onto the text block to send me.  The name of the author must be IN the fic itself, ie title by name, so that I can give proper credit.  Include your email in the fic too if you want me to post it up.  I do not send individual emails regarding whether or not the fic is going to be put on the site.  You can, however, email me regarding what advice you want me to give you about your fic.

        Policy is:

I will post almost anything that I am sent on the page and let you, the readers, decide which one you like.  These stories are here for your pleasure, and if you don't like one, tell me, and I will remove them.  Keep in mind that any fic does not necessarily mean any fic.  I will not take smut, lemons, hentai, yaoi, or any of that sort of stuff, unless there is something more to the story.  The plot must still be high in quality, have a point, be well written.  It can't all be about the physical, but whatever physical's in there had better be damn good. :P

I am also considering refraining (somewhat) from editing other people's work, because I am just sick of correcting every fanfic that comes across my way.  But maybe I won't.  This site is dedicated to high quality work, and I will probably end up filtering anything that does not comply with proper grammatical rules.

My rules for sending me fanfic will still remain.  They are the rules that I try to abide by when I write, and I don't see why it shouldn't be followed by anyone else. Proper grammar is what I believe to be a very important aspect of an excellent piece of literature, ideally, a MUST.  Believe me, I highly doubt that any written work that is not written properly can ever be considered 'good' or 'definitely worth reading.'  In my mind, if it's not PROPERLY written, it is a waste of time.

Please, please follow the rules below.  It's just much easier for all readers to read things that are written in proper grammar, and it gives you a plus as a talented, intelligent writer.  From now on, all stupidity seen on writing other than mine, (and I mean REAL stupidity, not funny stupidity) will be a reflection of your own ridiculousness!!  Hah!!  Think of that when you don't edit!!   Let me know what you think.  Email me and tell me how you would like the fan fics to be handled.

These are probably the most colorful list of rules that you'll ever see on a Vegeta fanfic site.  :P

1.  You must IMPRESS me for your fanfic to go up.  I have to like it!  Make me want to read it over and over again!!

2.  Remember that your fanfic doesn't only have to be about Veggie.  You can make it about almost anything you want.  Be warned though, I have an extreme prejudice against made up characters who posses a main role in the story.  I will read it, (maybe) but you may end up losing my interest if your character's not well developed and intriguing.

3.  Please, PLEASE proofread your fic before sending it to me. I know you guys don't want any part of your stories changed, but you have to EDIT it!! Make sure it's worth reading for the whole world!!  Plus, sometimes errors are just so bad that I have no idea as to what in the world you might be talking about.  Believe me, it takes a lot longer for things to go up if you guys don't correct your work.  I mean, come on! I have tons of school work to do not to mention my own fics to write as well as a life to live!  If you want your fic up, you need to add that extra bit of effort to perfect your masterpiece.

Honestly,  how many of you can spell the words:  REALLY SCIENTIFIC EXPERIMENT, huh?

Sometimes, I get so annoyed at how many mistakes there are on a page, I just stop proofreading altogether.  All typos and such are the fault of the aUthOr! Blame! Blame!!  Shame on youuuuu!!!

From now on, I might just stop proofreading FOREVER!!! Hah!! How would you people feel then?  EVERYONE can see how stupid you are making yourself out to be!! Yaaa!!!

*ahem* Sorry.  Some people just make me mad.

4.  Also, I would like for some people to note the existence of the following items: a spell checker, a dictionary, a thesaurus (some words get really repetitive), the colon (:), the semicolon (;), the apostrophe ('), the period (.), the comma (,), the exclamation point (!), the question mark (?), and most of all, tabs, spaces, and separation of quotations between characters!!

5.  The words: but, and, or, however cannot begin a sentence!! They must be used as conjunctions between independent and or subordinate clauses!!  The comma also MUST ALWAYS GO BEFORE THE CONJUNCTION!!! It's not after, it's before.  Do note, however, that characters are exempt from this rule, because they are just like us.  They speak freely and expressively, and well, in slang too. (Just like us, or me if you look at the insanity I spew onto my page! ^_^)

6.  This goes for a few, very few people who have sent me some fics.... PLEASE TRY TO BE ORIGINAL IN YOUR PLOTS!!  Some fanfics tend to be very, VERY similar to particular fics that I have either read or written myself.  Some, are even just re-writes of the series itself.  Use your imagination, don't copy from others!!

7.  Now, perhaps the most important of all,

ALWAYS WRITE IN COMPLETE SENTENCES!!!

8.  I would greatly appreciate it if people would begin to use pronouns, to know the difference between 'he' and 'she', and articles.  They are very important aspects of the English language and should be well noted.  Take note, also, not to continually repeat the name of a character in a sentence/paragraph.  Use the pronouns!! They are you're friends!!

9.  Please, PLEASE try to keep within character!!  Keep in mind that this does not mean that Vegeta can't go dancing in a pink tutu or that Goku can't suddenly decide to invest in the stock market.  I mean,  each character has his way of talking, acting, and living.  Each has his own way of dealing with things.  Try to remember that and, while you're at it, remember that Goku and  Vegeta are not normal people.  They're not human and can surely take a lot more abuse than any normal person.  I highly doubt that Vegeta can be knocked into a coma by a vegetable truck, so please, check on your characters' power level.  They can take abuse! They're strong!! Find something stronger to hit them with!!

Also, remember that Goten, Bra, Trunks, Pan, and all those other little children are children.  C'mon, even though they're half-Saiyan, it doesn't mean that they can actually hurt someone like Goku, Vegeta, or anyone else from the original Z group.  They're just children!! They are tiny little buggers they are!!

Oh yea!! Remember the age difference between the kids!! I'm not too sure about the difference between Trunks and Bra, but Trunks is one year older than Goten.

10. You absolutly, positivly MUST run a spell check AT LEAST once through your fic.  I can't stress this enough, and I siimply don't understand why you guys aren't willing enough to push the stupid 'Spell Check' button!!

As a final thought, just remember that I know that no one is perfect.  I myself am not.  If there are a few errors that have slipped your careful gaze, then I will not bite your head off for it.  Hell, there are a whole bunch of errors in Allergic Reaction that I never noticed that I'll get back to.  These things are for the extremely naughty people who don't do what they should be doing.  Don't make me sic Veggie on you! He won't be nice!!

This is the amount of people who actually tried to follow the rules!! ^_^
